The MairaBio agricultural company, run with an organic method, was born in Contrada Bigini, near Caltanissetta, in the heart of Sicily, immersed in a hilly area that extends between 600 and 700 meters above sea level. The passion for the land has been deeply rooted in my heart since I was a boy. It was precisely this passion that gave life to the MairaBio agricultural company in 2002, expanding the cultivations with quality vegetables. In 2017, the company further expanded its crops by introducing pomegranates and other vegetables. In 2019-2020, the company began transforming the products into preserves, following the organic method, obtaining genuine products with high nutritional value.

Sustainability
Sustainability is one of our pillars. We are committed to controlling every aspect of production, from drip irrigation to the use of biodegradable materials for mulching. The photovoltaic system almost entirely satisfies our energy needs with clean and renewable energy.
A look at the future
We have an ambitious project that aims to enhance the nutraceutical part of every single product we produce. To achieve this, we are working on building a state-of-the-art laboratory within our company, where we study and further develop the properties of our products. We want to offer our customers products that are not only delicious, but also highly nutritional.
